Mp3s
These are mp3s of songs that are hard to find, so I'm providing them here. The Versailles no Bara soundtrack is still in print on CD, so do yourself a favor and buy your own copy of it. It's really worth it!
Versailles no Bara OST - Bara Wa Utsukushiku Chiru -- The Versailles no Bara OP (opening theme), full version.
Versailles no Bara OST - Bara Wa Utsukushiku Chiru KARAOKE version -- The Versailles no Bara OP (opening theme) with no vocals, tv length (1 minute 30 seconds)
Versailles no Bara OST - Ai no Hikari to Kage -- The Versailles no Bara ED (ending theme), full version.
Versailles no Bara OST - Sweet Sadness -- minus 'shock.' The official name of this track is just "Sweet Sadness" but at the very end of it there's a harpsichord riff that they use in the series when something shocking happens, which is really annoying as teh first two songs on the track are so beautiful. So I edited out the 'shock' at the end of the track and made this mp3 so I can listen to the songs without the annoying riff at the end. The two songs in this track are absolutely exquisite.
Lareine - Bara Wa Utsukushiku Chiru (Versailles no Bara cover).mp3. Lareine is an excellent jrock/visual kei band that sadly disbanded a little while ago, but they released a BeruBara themed album and even did a cover of our beloved theme song! The best part about this specific mp3 is that Riyoko Ikeda-sensei is actually singing along! She's an opera singer as you might know, so the soprano ornamentation you hear along with the song is the creator of BeruBara herself. It's really neat. There's another version of this song that has a long piano introduction and doesn't have Ikeda-sensei singing, but I can't find my copy of it at the moment. I will put it online when I do.
