Dieny - Dieny character study

Inspiration just hit me at 2 AM on a Tuesday morning, and I had to sketch him. Dieny was probably the first complex character I'd ever created, and I can't take full credit for him, a close friend co-created him with me--that's probably why he turned out so well. (She's a really good writer, btw! -Check it out!-) His personality later inspired me to go back and sort of re-invent a lot of my flatter characters to make them as interesting as Dieny if not more so.
Simply put, he's Phantom's main rival, but not foil. In fact, it is almost eerie how many ways Phantom and Dieny are similar when it comes to motivation, discipline, etc. In morality they are diametrically opposed, however, and that of course is the main cause of conflict (that, and Pacifica, of course!)
