This picture is a direct imitation of the beautifully crafted storyboard-like manga artwork of Ashinano Hitoshi in his story "Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou." He has a fantastic mastery of various types of light, I am constantly in awe of how he sets these wonderful stages with the most simple of lighting techniques (techniques which are well, well beyond my skill) so I tried my hand at this little piece.... and have a newfound respect for his work~!
