Phantom's Dreams of Pacifica - character study
graphite sketch with "non-photo" (yea right) pencil for guidelines
*insert 80's sitcom "ooh it's romantic" screams here* Yea, it's really cheesy but come on, you all know how it is. The store behind this is Phantom sketches this picture of Pacifica based on what he sees of her in his mind's eye instead of having her actually pose, so she doesn't know about this until long after he's drawn it (of course, she's flattered!) Yet again, as I like to do with Phantom, this is drawn in a Renaissance style (er, meaning a crap attempt at chiaroscure via light crosshatching)--so not only do I draw HIM with a Renaissance-like influence, but I have HIS drawings be similarly influenced. This sketch is like a cheap rip-off of a DaVinci Madonna sketch, as that's what I was sort of aiming for, but obviously I can't reach that kind of genius artistic level, so, well, here she is. Phantom's dream of Pacifica.
