opening page

Whenever I start a new sketchbook, the first picture is always my favorite pair looking aloof, leaning against something. This has just become a weird tradition with me, and I'm not going to jinx myself by breaking it ;P My previous opening page was Pa/Ph in civilian autumn dress leaning against some sort of fence or bridge. Here they're in uniform on a...... rope? Pole? I dunno. I conveniently neglected to care about that part ;P
